Engine knock

Well I got the car back from sterling ford in Ottawa and guess what, my read-end is still loose(was the reason why I brought it there) they obviously didn't did anything to the car, its been there for 3 days and also there is 100km more on it as well as tire tar in the read fender.

That just made my weekend.

As far as the knock goes.....

Before you designate it an engine-knock, double check to make sure that it’s not an exhaust leak first. Check around your exhaust ports where they meet the factory manifold as well as to see if your spark plugs are in securely. It’s not really common, but there have been a few here that have had their spark plugs work themselves loose and strip the threads that started out as a light “ticking” noise and eventually worked their way up to a spark plug blow out. At least then you’ll know for sure that the problem is internal.

well i hope thats the last time u bring the car to a dealership...i cant stand them....no offense to theones who ARE respectful of other peoples property..cuz i know hey do exist...there just arent enough of them :nonono:

ud think they would drive the nice new 05 GT's....but no...they have to drive our cars

I got no choice but to bring it to the dealer, its still under warranty, the worst thing is thats its the same dealer that I bought the car, I guess I wont buy my next stang down there.
I'm going to do a complaint to the better business bureau, they cant just take my car and do 100km with it and not work on it, its just stupid.

What a bunch of a-holes putting 100 km on a customer car :nonono:

With regards to the knocking sound. I have it on my 03 and it has 30k miles on the clock. When I was having the gearbox TSB done a few weeks ago @ the dealers I asked them to check it out and they told me it was just normal piston slap :bs: but i have since been told it's most likely the timing chain slapping around and nothing to worry about and the car drive normal

So i guess I will just wait for something to break and re-build it better unless it breaks within the next 6000 miles....

oh! the TSB for the knocking is only for the Romeo engine if memory serves me still :damnit:
