Im installing the TCP rack and after looking around to make sure nothing of the rakc was contacting anything else, I noticed that one of the steel hydraulic lines is contacting a engine mount bolt. Im either going to get a shorter bolt or try to just turn the bolt around.

My question is, can I safely remove just the one bolt? There appears to be another, lower bolt holding the mount to the bottom of the shock tower.

I dont have a cherry picker, I seen and heard of people using a floor jack and a 2x4 on the oil pan. Would this be ok?

It looks to me as though the mount can pivot. Not sure where the stresses are on that area though. Could you just grind down the bolt and leave it bolted in? Worse case you can use a floor jac to support the motor while you take out the bolt.

Just turn the bolt around. It won't change the strength characteristics of anything. You may need to support the engine while doing so, but that's not a big deal either.

thanks... I ended up buying a cut off tool instead. Made it simpler, plus I needed a cutoff tool anyways.
