Engine oil question?

I just would like to know if its safe to change from synthetic blend to conventional oil? Apparently our cars come with synthetic blend 5w20. 50/50 mix. Ive read up on it and companies dont really put 50% synthetic in them anyways. I plan on changing the oil myself every 2000 miles for the first 10000 miles, using 5w20 mobil 1 conventional oil and after 10 to 12000 miles I plan on switching to mobil 1 5w20 full synthetic. From what ive read and engine needs 10000 miles to properly break itself in. Do you guys think i will be ok doing this, from 50/50 to conventional? thanks again.

What's wrong with the Motorcraft 5W20 blend (factory fill)? Are you getting bad UOA reports? Mobil 1 is synthetic not mineral based. Run M1 and change it every 10,000 to 15,000 miles. First oil change at 5000 miles is fine. BTW, the year is 2006 not 1956, oil quality has come a long way not to mention manufacturing quality.

ford runs the engine at the factory, should not need to "break-in " the motor

im going to have to agree with bigcat, engines are run at the factory to ensure they work, cant send out a car with a crapped out engine. engines brokin in already.
