Just received my DSS 306 and TKO-600 for my 1988 GT and will be adding all the accessories, headers, oil pan, headers, and lower intake with the engine out of the car. Question is, is it possible to install the engine with the TKO-600 already bolted up or do I have to drop the engine in first and then install the tranny? Also, any other pointers would be helpful.

Thanks!

YES, YOU CAN. Get a hoist with an adjustable bar and slowly angle it down and set it in

if you can get your hands on a front end loader, then it just take about 5-10 minutes to drop in and you can move it much easier. i have an old ford backhoe with a front loader and that is what i use it for.

I did it without a helper and with a Tremec 3550 attached, and it worked fine. You may need to jack the car up a little more, and the leveling bar will be a big help.
