I need my 302 rebuilt...where should I go for the best possible price...just a standard rebuild, no stroker kit or anything, what should I expect to pay?

I have gone to a few shops and the place with pretty reasonable prices was cylinder head specialties. I have had 3 blocks machined there and they did a good job for a good price. The only downside is it always takes longer than the owner says it will. Why dont you rebuild it yourself?? Just get the block machined and new freeze plugs, bearings all around, rings, the works and get a gasket kit. Fun stuff.......

X2 on doing it yourself. It's a fun experience - maybe find someone close by that can check your work over as you go.
