Engine shop in southern California

My son is in the Air Force and is geting out of tech school in a few months and is coming home to get his 66 coupe to take to Utah. The problem is the motor in his car is worn out. We live in the mountains in Big Bear and don't have any place to get it done local. Does anyone know of a engine shop in the San Bernardino/ Inland Empire or Victorville area of southern Ca that can rebuild the motor and not screw him. I am disabled and unable to do the work.

well i have nothing useful to add to the automotive aspect of this thread...

but go Air Force! (1st year AFROTC student trying to be a pilot ), tell him good luck for me

I use to be stationed at Edwards AFB and got all my stuff done at R & E Racing, they are in Lancaster.
They do great work, infact they built my 331 stroker shortblock.
Ed is the owner he is a good guy, tell him Chris Eades ref. you.

It's abit far for you, but the only one I know of.
