Engine swap

Thinking about swapping my modular out for a 324. I'm running a PSC-1 on an '04 GT. Anyone have any alternative ideas? I was thinking bout a Roush build also, but I already bought the centrifugal kit.

324 long block, it's about a 5.1, the stock cylinder heads match up, they will be ported of course.

What engine is the 324 based on? If this is a bored and stroked 4.6, then it should be straight forward and makes sense. If you are talking about anything else, including the small block ford, then it will be a lot of work and probably isn't worth it.

Maybe a few comments about your goals would be good.

A modular based 324 would need a heck of a lot of boring and stroking. I wouldn't feel safe using boost on that set-up. A pushrod base 324 would take a lot of work doing the conversion. You'd be better off just buying a 94-95 GT and using that.
