Hello, I've been searching around the site a little bit and been readiing up on lifting out my engine. I've read that I can bolt the lift to the front and back of the heads although I dont seem to have threads on the back of the drivers side head and on the passenger side I have metal coolant pipe I believe running past and can't tell if theres anything there. My quesiton really is can I bolt the lift directly to the lower manifold?? I've seen the EFI lift plates but dot really want to spend another $40-50 plus i need it by sunday. I dont see why it can be bolted to the lower because thats basically what the EFI plates do? Does anyone agree or disagree? Thanks

The heads are identical front and rear - the same 3 threaded holes that are on the front of the heads for the accessory brackets are on the back. You just need to locate them. A grade 8 bolt should work in those. Don't you have the factory hooks bolted to the exhaust manifold bolts on number 4 and 5 cylinders?

Dont have the Factory hooks, I'm positive i dont have the bigger thread or accesory bolt thread in the back of the drivers side head, I dont know if it makes a difference but I'm not sure if there E7's, the guy that had the car before me said it had "fresh heads" and when i asked him what kind of heads it had he wasnt sure.
