I'm probably going to Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ tonight (gates open at 5:00). I don't have the Mustang back yet, so I obviously won't be bringing that, but it would be nice to see other stangs there. So just wondering if anyone wants to meet there?

Damn, that sucks.. It's about 1/2 hour for me, lol, so I go all the time.

Tonight is Unmuffled and Muffled Time Trials + No Time Grudge Runs.

Saturday the 15th is the Ford & Mustang Showdown, and I'll have my Mustang back by then, so hopefully you will all be there too!

Any of you go to Island? Takes me much longer to get there, but there is a lot less people.

I've never gone, but want to check it out. I may go this weekend if they are open by then, because I know right now they are resurfacing the track.

Hey GTO, did you go to their wed. night BBQ and race nights last summer? From what I read, it was $10 and you got to race and eat. They say they are going to do it again this year too.

From what I can find out, it's the first wed of each month, BBQ chicken, and single lane racing. And they are currently repaving the track so it should be good. This is last year's announcement. I think they are starting in may.
We are starting up our weekday $10 bbq's at Island on Wed, May 2nd. They will continue on the first Wednesday of every month through the summer. This year we are opening it up to the public, but we will section off areas of the pits for different clubs to park by each other. Please repost this on any site that you may be on to help get the word out!! You can't beat $10 race or watch for as many passes as you can get in, plus an AMAZING chicken bbq at the same time

Details:
Date: Starting May 2nd
Time: Gates Open 4pm, Racing 4pm til Sundown. The pits and bbq will remain open to all those who wish to have a place to hang out.
Price: $10 race or watch

Rules:
For the May 2nd BBQ, it will be muffled vehicles only. We will decide if we are going to open it up to all cars for the following bbqs at a later time.

All vehicles must pass NHRA tech inspection.

There can be no alcohol consumption while vehicles are going down the track. Any driver caught with an arm band and alcohol will be immediately escorted out.

Both lanes will be prepped equally, but single lane passes only to keep our insurance prices and therefore gate prices down.

We will race until we deem it unsafe to do so without lights. Afterwards, the facility will remain open.

I've always gone on sundays and had a good time. In fact, I even ran my company car there once. Silver maxima on a dealer tag. FWIW, I ran a 15.5

Sunday's are a good day to watch. I know alot of racers there so usually walk around on Sunday's.
To race it's just too crowded with the guys running for points.

I made my first pass ever at Island and surprisingly got my best 60' I've ever gotten which is wierd because their track prep sucks. My dad used to spin there all the time with the Chevelle and would never have a problem hooking at E-town or Atco. For street cars I guess its ok. I really love that BBQ idea, I would definitely be down for that over the summer.

Not sure when you were there , I been living there for the last 4 years and the prep is awesome! Walking around by the x-mas tree is difficult! It's hard to lift your feet cause there stuck to the pavement!
