The almighty LS1....Trans am or SS...would a stock motor 5.0 (stock heads, cam, intake) with a New Kenne bell 2.1l AT 6-7psi, be enough to run down a LS1 trans am M6 or SS m6?
I wonder how many ls1 guys come in here and laugh at the 2 threads a day asking how to beat their cars stock. The next question that should be asked is how many ls1's are bone stock? All they need is a cam and some sticky tires to ruin the day of a lot of h/c/i power adder foxes.
I have read on here that a mustang can't beat a ls1 camaro and has no chance of ever beating a modified oneI thought they could but I was told many times that we can't. I mean I ran a 13.4 with about 1000dollors in modifications including tires but no we can't beat a ls1 with say a hci or a supercharger
If you think about it the ls1 is 350cid, we need a stroker kit to get to 347cid. Then if you look at the heads we need track heats to have something to compare to.

It's tough for a fox to run with LS1s because they START life running low low 13s on street tires and zero mods. Add in some bolt ons and you have a solid mid 12s car. With how many HCI fox's out there not going those times on sticky tires, it's no wonder the LS1 is feared.
Well with AFR 165, TFS1, Trickflow intake, 70mm tb, 76mm maf,24# inj, full exhaust, pulleys, and 4.10 gears...Id put around 290-300 rwhp and good tune 310 if your lucky on a good street car. We all know you can make more power with a track car, but were talking street car, that passes emissions....With KB and few bolt-ons(full exhaust,70mm tb, 90mm maf, 42#inj,pulleys etc) the KB car would put more than 320rwhp atleast and plenty of TQ...Why would the H/C/I car be faster than the KB car, when the KB car gets all the power sooner than the n/a h/c/i car getting peak power at 6k rpm? I think the KB car would run down the H/C/I car. AND if the KB car runs a H/C/I car down....and the H/C/I car runs down ls1 trans am or SS...KB>h/c/i>ls1's=kb>ls1's
