Equal Length headers are the biggest pieces of S@#T that were ever made. They burn through spark plug wires and make it difficult to change the number 4 spark plug. Sorry for the rant, but i just had to change plugs and wires because the guy i bought the car from put equal length headers on it, and it burned up the number three and four wires. I bought a set of spark plug boot protectors so hopefully that will keep the headers from burning the wires.

ponypower, what kind are you running? I'm running BBK equal lengths and I've had zero problems with them burning boots or wires. You'd think some of these other manufacturers would test some of these designs better before the sell this *****. If you can't make it so it doesn't burn stuff up then don't make it. In their defense though there are a lot of people out there that don't take the time to route their wires properly and then wonder why the hell they keep burning up. I have 4 words for anyone with burnt plug boots. "Multi Angle Plug Boots"

*edit* Pics added. I was taking the pics of the header install so some wires are not completely adjusted, but you'll get the multi angle idea.

I used to have Mac equal length headers, and yea the sucked to put in and work around. I never burned a wire or had a problem changing plugs, but I eventually changed to long tubes and wont go back.

Like I said, i dont know who makes them, but they suck, I did go out and buy the MSD wires so i should have no more burning problems.

Sweet. I just did a compression test on my engine and I've never had the plugs out since the BBK equals went in and the plugs came out super easy and the tubes did not get in the way at all. If you switch out to better equals some day, I'd say BBK all the way. They were designed very nicely. Very boot friendly especailly with the multi-angle boots.

My tranny was out when I put them in an I was changing motor mounts too, so I just pushed the engine one way and slid one side on and then the other. It was cake.
