From what I have read, any ford built after 2003 that has an electronic throttle control, has an EDR installed. I dont know if this is true but if it is, I want to know if there is any way to shut it down. I know this is a great thing for the insurance companies but I dont really care to have them looking into my driving habits if I have a wreck. If anybody has any more info I would realy appreciate a response.

I don't know if you can disable it, but there is an EDR system for sure. It is in the operation manual.
