I've been to quite a few forums over the years. Scoping peoples cars, learning things (sometimes, other times its for a good laugh), sheer bordom. One huge differance between stangnet and all the other forums...we dont have a "Kill Forum". I dont know what that says about us exactly but maturity comes to mind...and theres little point considering we wax most of the cars out there so whats the point? Anyway random observation...I'll leave you alone now

There are plenty of people on the board who would post in one, but the majority (or at least the guys who count) realize what it promotes. I suppose it falls under the maturity category somewhat, but there are other obvious reasons as well.

Good observation.

yeh. in the srtforums its called war stories. srtforums is the first forum i ever used. recently i jumped onto this one and vwvortex just from chatting with people at the track.

my first smartass comment would be that stangs dont kill. heheh.
actually, my buddy from work pulled up next to me in a v-6 stang and i figured he would want to play like he always does, so we went from the green and... well i got smoked cause it wasnt my friend, it was some dude in a red cobra.

perhaps that was somebody on here? a few months back southbound on w. valley highway in kent. we then sorta 'ran' a red because we were goin to dam fast to stop.

Not having a kill forum probably does nothing to impact whether or not people race on the streets. They're either going to do it, or not. But avoiding the discussion of street racing on the forums provides us the illusion that we are somehow better than the street racers, more mature, whatever -- even though a sizeable percentage of the members of SN do it themselves. Rationalization .
