OK here's the deal, I am upgrading to 17" 03' Mach 1 rims to accomodate the new 13" Cobra Disc Brake system I am getting from Mustang Steve and I am wondering what I should do for the rear setup, I'd like to see some pictures of yours if available.

I'm curious how it looks with drums still out back vs. a smaller disc and non'matching caliper or same size disc and non matching caliper or preferably a totally matching set. My old 14" SSW's show nothing behind them so I'm afraid the front will look great and the rear like butt.

Any thoughts, advice and/or pictures highly welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks,
Pak

I am, but i dont have any pictures here I can put up-

I put an 8.8 rear end out of a 95 GT into my 66, thats how I got my rear disc brakes-

actually it went in pretty easily, not too much fab work at all-

I have 11" front discs and rear drums. The rear drums looked a lot better than I thought they would. I thought they'd look horrible with discs in front. Not a great picture but my car isn't at home for the time being.

Ok guys thanks, and thanks for the pic 19stang66, you're right, they don't look as bad as I thought they might either. Are those 17" rims BTW?

After another conversation with Mustang Steve it appears that he will actually have a rear Cobra system available in the near future with matching rotors so I will keep the drums out back for now and then upgrade at alter date.

Thanks all!

Thanks for the compliments guys. Its supposed to be presidential blue, the previous owner panited it dark green but it was a cheap job so the original blue was still exposed in places, so I had the paint shop try to match the blue. Came out good, never had it against an original presidential blue, but im sure its close.

I'm glad I waited to buy my rear discs as well! It's good to hear Mustang Steve is putting out the rear kit, I bought his front kit for my 66 and it's sitting in a box waiting for the painter to finish. I wonder what the price of the rear kit will be, I certainly hope it beats Currie's buy alot...
