I was cruising with 3 friends for the first time in my convertible yesterday and I had to bring the seat forward. After an hour of driving, I noticed my feet were getting real hot. I put my hand underneath the steering column and felt alot of heat coming from the engine. Is there anything I can do to reduce the heat? Upgraade the firewall or something?

thanks

upgrade the firewall? easier said than done. I'd put in a lower thermostat in w/ a tune or ECU reflasher, to turn the fan on ealier.

Bigger engines, more heat. Less tolerance for lack of cozyness, better off buying a Civic.

Its normal.Really isnt much you can do about it..ride with the air on or deal with it..Only two things that can happen..

Well, it is not that bad when I am riding with no passenger behind me so I could back up my seat and incline it. I do often have my top down. In the future, I will certainly add a different thermostat. I noticed that the engine temp goes a little beyond the middle when driving with the a/c on for some time.
