Just bought a 95 mustang GT Vert...
need an exhaust...
I dont want anything too loud...
Im thinking about going with a MAC h-pipe and cat back with bbk headers... just wondering if anyone has this set up and how loud it is... dont feel like getting harassed by cops... :(

adam,i've got a stock 95 (till january)with stock headers,H-pipe and 2 chamber flows,no cats and it is perfect.Flowmasters are the best muffler i've heard.(my opinion)thier not too loud but enuff that you can hear the motor well.

I've got the Mac cat-back, and its very liveable inside the car. Its loudest at 2000 rpm's however, almost deaffening with the top up (resonnant frequency between the two tailpipes or something). To me it doesn't seem too loud at WOT, but my friends tell me they can hear me coming from like 4 blocks away when I get on it :D
Plus, I've got a catted x-pipe with Mac haders, so an o/r h-pipe would be quite a bit louder. When I see a cop, I just shift up a gear to get the rpm's at or below 1500, then she's nice and quiet. Haven't had a problem with the law yet. :nice:

I have the Mac Flowpaths on my car for now, but usually run an off-road pro-chamber (i had to get it inspected). I really like how the flowpaths sound, they aren't really loud, but aren't quiet either. I still get compliments on the sound just with the flowpaths. I'd have to say with the o/r prochamber though it's extremely loud but thats a given with any off-road pipe. Don't get me wrong, i'm not biased just because I have it, I love the sound of flowmaster and a lot of my friends have them. But for your application I think MAC would be right up your alley. All the other catbacks i've heard seem to be too quiet or too loud.

im running 2 chamber flows with a bassani catted x and shorty headers, it's pretty quiet when cruising but has a bad drone around 2k rpm, but i think thats bc im running chambered mufflers with an X, which i plan to change. anyhoo the flowmasters do have that classic mustang sound, so if thats what you're looking for, go for them.
