Since I got my new '06 GT Screaming Yellow 'vert, I have been mulling over changing the exhaust. I listened to the various sound clips and had seriousely considered Flowmasters. My only hesitation was the dreded "drone".
I finally decided I like the stock exhaust. I like it, but I did want to dress it up a bit so I ordered some SS 3 1/2" tips from MRT. These are specifically designed for the '06/'06 Mustang and they are super. They are very heavy SS and bright chrome plated with rolled opening-they even included heavy duty SS clamps. I just installed them and am very happy with them. $96.30 shipped to my house in 2 days. I think I made the right choice. I know a lot of 'Stang owners want noise, but I kind of like it as is.

Why?
People, don't buy into the "catalytic converter is a performance killer" myth. Might have been true in 1978, but not now.
The modern cat flows extremely well.
Don't let the marketers sell you on this myth.

I wasn't refering to performance. Since he likes his stock exhaust so much, then he can add an off-road h-pipe, keep the stock exhaust, and make his pony scream bloody murder.

I saw the site. It says the inner diameter is 21/2". My stock tips are 3". Did you have to cut off the stock tips???
