I am deciding between the MagnaFlow or the Flowmasters. Which one is the better deal. Found the Flowmaster system for $180. I also need some quotes on long tube headers. Anybody know any to put on a 73' 351C. Thanks

I would look at sound quality before I looked at price. Nothing is more irritating than a terrible sounding exhaust note that you are stuck listening too as you cruise down the highway. I had regular Flowmaster 40's which I replaced about two months later with Flowmaster 50's because the interior noise was too much to handle everyday.

There have been a number of threads discussing muffler selection. Do a site search and you will find them.

Headers for a 73 Cleveland? No clue. I imagine Hooker or Hedman will have some...

i installed a set of hooker long tubes last year and replaced my entire exhaust system. i originally had stock manifolds with flowmaster 40's and the interior/exterior noise was too loud for me. i had a new sytem put in with dynaflows and an x-pipe which i am very happy with. the system give a nice rumble but doesn't vibrate the interior of the car or the house.
the hooker headers were a pretty straight forward install. the passenger side went in without a hitch. on the drivers side i hade to remove the steering box. hooker says if you can lift the car at least 3' feet in the air you don't have to remove the box and i think that is true.
there is another company that makes quality long tube headers for the 351c called FRP but i couldn't find a link for them.
