Not normally being one to change things just because, I am thinking that my stock mufflers should go. I've had the car for almost 7 years and as far as I can tell they are the original stock stainless mufflers (13 years old?) . To be sure the back stubs have broken/corroded off and have been welded back on a few times :nice: . I can buy I complete 2005 stainless system (mufflers and tail pipes) new take offs for $90. My question, will these mufflers (not too concerned about the pipes) bolt right in?

I doubt it. The 2004+ stangs have the muffs behind the axle, ours are in front of it. If the parts that bolt to the midpipe are the same, you could put some dumps or the stock tail pipes on it.

But Id just buy some good aftermarket muffs and get them welded in.
