Anybody know where to get sheets of the super high temp stuff to make exhaust manifold gaskets out of?

No I dont want to buy those....

Yes I tried those too....

Yes and those too....

No they dont fkcuing fit....

...or at least not to my totally anal, everthing must be just right level of satisfaction, so I would rather make my own. Thats why I asked.

So do you know where to get the gasket material or not?

Thanks,
Dave-

I second Pog's idea.....as the son of a engine builder, I can honestly say it works on race cars very well Takes a little time to make it look nice though.

Try Baxters or Radke for the gasket material. More likely to have it than, say, Thrifty

Dave are you ok buddy? Didn't they come with copper gaskets? You can port the copper gaskets to fit with a dremmel and they don't blow out.

Have the headers run over a surface planer to make them perfect and use the liquid goo.

Sheeeeeeiiiiit, by the time I got the first one ported out to match the flange, there wasn't much copper left....

I found the sheet of stuff at Tony's up on 4th plain, so Im trying that. So far it seems to be working pretty good.

Now if I just knew what to do about my hood coming open about 60 and destroying the cowl and the top of the passenger compartment. Not to mention what it did to the hood when it landed (after I was stopped and out of the car, if that gives you any idea how high in the air it went)

yep im serious, why the fk you think i havent been driving it....
