Hey everyone, as you can see by my username I'm back in the pony car game after 10 long years away...

I recently bought a 01 GT and want to methodically make mods to it (it was bone stock owned by an old guy). Since I spent a fair amount on the car I want to do a couple cost effective mods right away and not spend too much $$$ on the car and make my wife upset...

I was going to go with a new cat-back system but I am really thinking about a pro-chamber off-road instead with my stock mufflers. Eventually I will likely put a cat-back on, but I am leaning towards this option to get the most HP for the least amount of cash. I have read about a thousand combinations here and on other pages, but I haven't found anyone giving feedback on this setup. I am looking for a classic V8 rumble and minimizing the "dreaded drone" on the highway (I drive the car about 50 miles every day round trip).

Any insight on a prochamber and stock exhaust would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a good start. Check out www.mustangexhaust.com for all the audio clips of any exhaust combination possible. Oh, and welcome

Get an off road X pipe like Magnaflow, the pro chamber may not sound good anyway with the chamberd stock mufflers

Later just buy some Magnaflow mufflers and have them welded in. Save a buck unless you really want to buy the whole catback for the tips. Unless you plan to get a poweradder you really wont benefit from the larger diameter mandrel bent tailpipes. You can get all kinds of exhaust tips for our cars seperately now. See my sig video for my exhaust set up !
