I put shorty headers on and hpipe, the h pipe is bolted tight to the headers and sounds like a exhaust leak. I took smog off to pipe. Could the leak be the back of the heads ?
It did I welded it shut. I took it to the local muffler shop, it needed new flanges .Does your Hpipe have a tube for the smog pump? Did you close that up?
I'd purchased the hpipe from a person on cl, and I'd bolted on the flanges that wer on the hpipe. Come to find out that the flanges was bent . I literally new to the dyi of fixing the fox body . I'm enjoying it alot . I appreciate the help from you guysThe flanges wer bent
Did you do the bolts in the car or was motor out of the car. Also was the intake an ac lines still on when you did itthe air tube on the back of the heads is a 5/8" thread bolt.
Actually, I meant why did you go to all that trouble, just to delete the pollution pump? The flanges wer bent
Deleting them wasn't bad you Don't suggest itActually, I meant why did you go to all that trouble, just to delete the pollution pump?
No, not at all. Almost zero horsepower gain, but the potential to create all sorts of other issues and ECU trouble codes is now present. The pump is only really active during cold start and light cruise. They practically free wheel any other time.Deleting them wasn't bad you Don't suggest it

easy. just put some thread sealer on the bolts and screw them in. I did them with the heads off and on the car.
