Exhaust sitting too low

Hello,took my 1994 sn95 into the shop to secure my catback. A lot of rattling. Now the pipes beteween the cats and the mufflers have a 1 to 2 inch clearance. The shop welded the pipe to muffler end. Do you think they will fix for free?

Took back to the shop and they said this was normal setup.

It sort of looks like the midpipe is whats dictating the clearance but could be mistaken based on the photos. What was the clearance before? I'm assuming you are referring to the clearance between the body and the top of the pipes?

Did they make the mid pipes? That looks like they just did not push the exhaust up high enough before welding. Just me but it looks like they didn’t care how it looked just wanted to get it done and put so much clearance between things it would not rattle. I’d call it poor workmanship.
