Anyone else notice a exhaust odor with their 05 GT? Mine has a smell that was described by a passenger as "sewer gas" Myself, I feel that the cats are not up to spec or it is overly rich. Anyone else?

sorry eric.. .. how old is the car? these cars normally run rich, but should not cause that type of smell.. take a look at the engin and exhause.. make sure nothing is touching/burning on it

Is the car new? When mine was new I also noticed a similar smell. I thought it smelled kind of like a burning clutch but both the dealer and members of stangnet told me it was the Ford undercoating burning off. Some said it would go away in a few days and some said a few hundred miles but it didn't go completely away for weeks. I broke the car in hard too.

Sewer gas , sulfur smells are an indication that the cats are going bad. We have had this discussion several times on the F150 board. Just bring into the dealer and tell them, they should replace the cats.

i had a bad smell too coming out of the car (outside), now that it passed 1000kms the smell is starting to fade, i think its because it new, ????
