I have been searching and searching for mufflers, catback systems....etc....

I have listened to just about every brand and style of system at youtube and latemodelrestoration, I know that I'm not getting the "real" sound this way, BUT, the only way I have really.

I have flowmasters on my 92 5.0, but I dont really like the way they sound on the 4.6 GT, I was dead set on the Bassani's...then I found the MagnaFlow's Magnapak cat back system, from what I have heard, they sound pretty awesome (I heard this on my PC at LMR) but, I have a feeling they might be way louder on my car than I think they will be based on how they sound on my pc.

So I am at a crossroad and dont know what to get, I want the car to sound mean and kinda loud, but, not so loud it sounds like a drag car with just headers

I was hoping that maybe I could ask you guys to chime in and give your opinions as to what you all like the most, I can use all the help I can get with this decision.

BTW...my 2006 GT is bone stock as of now.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I bought FRPP stingers and never looked back, I LOVE them, not a lot of drone and a nice deep sound.

Here's some exhaust clips from the members of this site. Lots of different combos.
http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/735791-post-your-exhaust-sound-clips-list-combo.html

In my case, I'm still running the stock mufflers, but after my CAI and Brenspeed tune, my car has a slightly louder and throatier sound.

Boomtubes are a great choice. Priced new at about $300. If I were shopping again, I'd go with a used pair as a lot of mustang owners swap out axelback's and will sell at bargains.

Thanks for the replies and Thank you Wraith for this link I have checked it out and I have to say I'm more confused now as to what I want There are soooooooooo many options out there it could drive a guy insane haha.

I really like the sound of Bassani's, I think I might just go with them, I say that now, BUT, in about 27 seconds after posting this I will be like....uh....DAMN...I cant decide!!!!!

Thanks again for the replies.

Most people switch set-ups a few times. I have been through a few set-ups myself:
Stock Catted H and Flowmaster 40s
Stock Catted H and JBA
Stock Catted H and Magnapacks
O/R Prochamber and Magnapacks
Prochamber w/hiflow cats and Magnapacks
Prochamber w/hiflow cats and SLP LM
Prochamber w/hiflows cats, glasspacks/resonators and SLP LM (Pseudo midmuffler)
My current is Catted X, Pseudo midmuffler.

No cats is gonna be loud and potentially raspy. Not good IMO. Lot of people want a meaner sounding car and after they put on a axle back they then add an offroad ie no cats midpipe, then its really loud. Take your time deciding.

My exhaust tone got better too after I installed my brenspeed tune. The tune/cai should be the first mod IMO.......its such a better car with it, so much more fun to drive.
