Exhaust Q regarding FPA Long tubes--

Not sure if this belongs here or in the vintage forum, but here goes.. I have FRPP 302 in my 66 'vert and just purchased these FPA long tube headers. The 'elbow' connector tube is ~ 2.5 inches, which is larger than my current H pipe and stock exhaust (although I don;t know the exact size, I think the stock exhaust is 2"). I don't want to choke the motor, so... should I ask the exhaust shop to mate these up with my smaller stock exhaust, or spend some extra $$$ (many) for larger pipes all the way back. ps- these are sweet looking, even have my name stamped into the flange.

If your current exhaust is in good condition or is relatively knew, I think you would be okay with using it. On the other hand, if you current exhaust may need replaced in the near future, you might want to go ahead and replace it now with some nice new stainless pipes.
