I have a 2.5 MAC 2 chamber cat-back system on my car and I cant get it to stop rattling so I was wondering if I hack the tailpipes off behind the mufflers and put dumps on it will hurt my performance in anyway? thanks for your help...

nope, that's why they sell mac pro dumps. it's the same concept that you're wanting to do. it'll be louder though

make sure that the mufflers and the tailpipes are in the hangers completely. when i was installing my Mac system it was a pain to get them in the hangers all the way. i had to get back under there because it was knocking up against the underside. try that.
