Ok have you seen the 1996 ford ranger engine is a 2.3l like mine any way have you seen the header that this engene came out with? i would like to use this heades instead of than old rusty stock one that i have could it work ?
There are about 1 million other posts on this forum regarding that header, and for your information, yes, that would work. It is an upgrade from out stock header on the Mustang and from what I've heard and seen, it is a direct bolt on with the excpetion of the EGR Pipe. Although it will bolt on flawlessly, there are still a few obsticles to get over. If you go with a 96+, you gotta go get a shop to weld you a bung on there (make sure the do it right). I didnt realize that until I had my car all the way apart! Dont make the same mistake I did! After that, just plug the vacume line going to the EGR and youre set.
