Exhaust question

Hey guys (and girls)
just wondering what you would recommend for the cheapest cat back exhaust system that wont rust out on me. I already have headers, but due to emissions I think I might wait on the h or x pipe for now. I just back into a curb and messed up the right side of my factory cat back, so I figure if I'm spenin money anyway to fix it why not replace it? I just dont want to spend too much, any idea where to find a nice cheap system online? Also, gefracing has a system on their page but it doesnt say much about it

it does say stainless steel, but is it made by gef or something? anyway any help is appreciated, would consider buying a nice used system as well if anyone knows of one. thanks a lot,

just searchin around on ebay, found a dynomax setup

shipped for $299 total. jegs has this for like $325. how would dynomax compare to flowmaster? any info is appreciated

There alot better, flows suck and they rust.

Only prob is it dosent say what kind of dynomax mufflers they are and I doubt they will stay that cheap by the end of the auction

As far as that ebay auction for the dynomax setup,
I emailed and asked what kind of mufflers and he said they are dynomax turbo thrush. i dont think i have even heard of those, i was expecting super turbo or ultra flow. anyway i know most of you guys have exhaust systems already so i'm sure some of you have some kind of input. thanks again

I love the flowmaster/H-pipe sound, I also like Dynomax Bullets

Also, aren't the "thrush" mufflers made by another brand??

I honestly haven't heard of the thrush mufflers, but he said they were dynomax?

It seems sketchy with ebay, like i never really know what i'm getting ya know? but this looks like another good deal to me. seems like the american thunder has a nice strong muscle car-ish sound. i cant find much as far as what the dynomax would sound like

Personally i've always liked flowmaster. I had the american thunder kit on my last car and it never rotted out in over four years. The exhaust i have now is MAC, but the damn chrome tips are starting to rust heavily!
I'd suggest getting a system that has welded mufflers, not those cheap looking mufflers you get from the parts store that are "crimped" together. That dynomax kit with those thrush mufflers looks (in the pic on their page) very cheap.

The auction w/ shipping will come out to almost $300. You can find much cheaper in magazines/etc. GEFRacing is only a distributor of products, not the manufacturer.

Look at the guys feedback. It is god-like. I wouldn't worry about having any problems from him.

But for that price, you might as well get the Magnaflow c/b. It's worth it IMO.

But if cheap is what you are looking for, look to MAC. They are cheap. Can't comment on quality b/c I haven't used any of their products. I know someone here has though.
