You realize with your mods that the shorty headers aren't going to result in any power gain - right? Unless you're up around 280-300HP, the stock headers aren't holding you back. If you're not gonna put long tubes in, you might as well spend the money you were gonna put towards the shorties towards something that will actually make more power. I'd suggest focusing next on the lower intake manifold - it's the biggest flow restriction on the stock engine. Options include a used Explorer intake (same flow as a Cobra or GT40), or having tmoss port your stock lower. Either approach will result in better performance across the range -- putting shorties on it won't net you anything.
