if one of my exhaust pipes broke after the muffler would that have anything to do w/ the motor not running? one or two days after it broke the motor died.

no it would not. I, like many, have no pipes. There are no 02 sensors after mid pipe.

Elaborate on what problems you are having. The motor not running is not too specific

i was driving it and the check engine light was flashing, blew some white smoke when first started, sputtering, sucked down $25 in gas w/ in 15 20 min pulled over cause it ran out. i went to start it later and it wouldnt turn over, i tried again and it turned over. trailered it home and put gas in it. started right up, shut it off and went to start it later and it wouldnt turn over

White smoke normally indicates coolant being burned.

Possibly popped a head gasket, but that doesnt really explain the massive fuel consumption... at least not to me.

Any knocking, ticking, or anything during this process?

I'd bet head gasket, leading to coolant intrusion into a cylinder, leading to a hydraulic block. Pull all the plugs and have someone hit the starter. If you get a shower, you have a gasket problem...

for the fuel maybe bad fuel pump. for the white smoke it could be coolent or it could be blow by (oil) oil gets by the worn ring in the pistions. how many miles on your car? if it has high milage that could be your problem.

its got about a 100k. if its just blow by why is the motor seized. it doesnt make sense that the motor would sieze then uncieze. today i pulled the valve covers off and everything looked ok. then i got the intake manifold off and the 8th cylinder intake was filled w/ coolant. idk what to do next, pull the heads off?
