Exhaust shop tips vs. SLP loudmouths

I know, i know, there are way too many threads on exhaust setups, but here goes another! I found an exhaust shop that will remove my mufflers and replace with tips for cheaper than i'd spend on SLP's. I'd get to keep the old mufflers for backup. I figure it will sound the same, so why not save some $$. Any thoughts?

Sounds smart to me as long as you try to copy the ALP dimensions.
