exhaust smell

I have a 93 2.3 and if I let it idle long enough it smells like exhaust inside the car. I pop the hood and let it idle and I cant see anything on the pass side where the header is, but when I go to the driver side I can see some smoke coming out. I cant tell to see where it's coming from. anyone have any ideas?

I dont know, that's my problem. I cant figure out what over there would produce anything like that.

The crank case vent is on that side underneath the intake manifold. The hose that the PCV valve sits in is connected to the vent baffle. The hose could be loose or cracked or worse, the metal baffle can could be rusted through.

I found it. the dipstick never sealed and was venting while the engine was running. I was wondering where all the oil was coming from. there are two hoses that sit on top of the tube so I never got a clear look at it until I started poking around. thanks for your guys help
