Hey guys, it's been a long time...I've been having issues with the smell of exhaust inside my car. I smell like I've been mowing the lawn whenever I get out, even if it's only for a few minutes. Also, sometimes I can smell exhaust entering through the vents when the heat is on. I've had the car tuned several times now and it isn't running too lean or rich. Is this common after a HCI? Easy solution?

My setup is as follows:
Edelbrock Performer
AFR 165cc
e303 Cam
BBK Longtubes
O/R H-Pipe

The O/R H-pipe is your main culprit if it's properly tuned.

Is your charcoal canister hooked up (in the passenger fender). It's got a vacuum line going to it as well as a purge solenoid in the vacuum line around the a/c dryer area.

At idle with the E303 you might be slipping a bit of fuel out the exhaust depending on how the injector timing on the tune is setup. The overlap in the cam is what allows this.

do you hear any ticking when its running? if so then its probably an exhaust leak. get a hollow tube/pipe (pvc works good) and go around all the exhuast with your ear to the other side, when the ticking gets loud all of a sudden, thats where the leak is.

Exhaust fumes must be leaking from somewhere. If everything was buttoned up and tight you wouldn't be smelling exhaust.

I've had it in and out of the shop 3 times and everything has been tightened up every time. Maybe some thread lock will be required to keep everything in place. As for the cannister, if it's related to all the EGR stuff, it was all removed.
