The right answer depends on you. Some guys like certain catbacks just for the sound, some because of the performance. Some get a certain catback because of how it performs with after market mid-pipes and headers they have. It gets down to personal preference and you may have to do a little research to determine what sound you like or what kind of performance gains you are looking for.
you'll get a thousand different answers for that question. Its all personal preference. Listen to other stangs and go to www.mustangexhaust.com to find what you want, you are going to have to hear it everyday so u should take the time to decide.
Things to consider:
- How loud do you want it? (little louder than stock or all the way to ticket-me loud)
- Better sound or better flow? (or both)
- Construction material? (happy with aluminized metal, or want stainless?)
- What type of sound? (classic musclecar or exotic racer)
I personally have the FRPP catback and love it. Stainless steel, made by the OEM supplier (perfect fit), nice low mellow sound, but pleasingly loud on acceleration.
To each his own, and definitely check out mustangexhaust.
