ok ive been looking for borla stinger 4 inch tips for the longest time with no luck because i already have weld in mufflers and x pipe so my stock tips arent cutting it. So i went to the muffler shop i get all my work down at and they can order me tips just like the borla stingers cause they're just stainless 4" outlet 2.5" inlet rolled tips, for only 50 bucks for both and installation. Well i looked at them and they were huge like i couldnt even picture them on my car he said he uses them mostly for trucks and to go with 3.5 at biggest. so im asking yalls opinions rolled stainless tips 4 inch or 3.5? if anyone has any pics that would be great of theirs that would be awesome.

I didn't actually measure my Stinger tips, but they were advertized as being 4". They fit perfect, in my opinion.

I went through this recently. I think the 3.5" tips look perfect under the 99-04 bumper cutouts. The stock ones are 3". The Mac catback I got had 2.5" wussy looking ones. I think 4" would be a bit too much, bordering on ricey fart cans.

If you have a 94-98, go with 2.5" or 3".

I just put a set of MRT 3.5 inch on my ride. IMO 3.5 looks the best.

I just had a pair of Magnaflow 3" rolled-edge tips installed on my 02 GT this weekend. The shop that installed them had a 3.5" version but I thought it just looked too big, like it belonged on a truck. Just my $.02, I think they look perfect. I'll try to get a pic of them tonight for your reference.

Probably just what someone gets used to seeing all the time, because when I bought my car I thought the stock pipes looked perfect. Now that I have my Stingers I think they look perfect...and that don't seem "too big" - fits the cut outs real nice. Might just be some sort of optical illusion when installed on the Mustang, because the Stinger tips sure don't L@@K like 4" truck tips - they just don't look *that* big.

That's the way mine are. I just need to get them lifted about half an inch. Mine kinda hang a little lower.
