Exhaust/Tranny/something 'Tick'...

Hey guys,

Hate for this to be my first post on the forums, yet I noticed a 'tick' today coming from the pass-side near the tranny/header/midpipe area. The tick (high pitched) changes with gas, yet whether the clutch is in or not, doesn't seem to affect it. Nor shifting gears/engaging them. The sound is also not coming from the engine compartment, as that was my first guess. I jacked the car up today and tried to see if a bolt came loose from the header/midpipe yet it was solid with no apparent leak.

Has anyone run into a similar problem, or have any advice to me on what this might be/how to fix it? I'm going crazy trying to diagnosis this!!

Thanks/Reed

Unless yours is different due to the year there should be a gasket on the pass side only. Can pick one up at local dealership for like 8 bucks. Thats most likely your leak as the other joints are ball and socket flanges.

can exhaust leaks have high pitched ticks though? the one I had before you could actually hear the exhaust escaping, and it screwed up my idle. My idle is just fine. I am having some weird stuff go on when I left of the throttle and coast down through 2k. For reference: I've got stock headers, MAC o/r X, and MAC catback.
