I haven't really heard MAC exhausts, but I have heard flowmasters. Yeah they sound good if you like that classic muscle car sound. I'd go to www.mustangexhaust.com and listen to the sound clips there to get a better idea. I personally like something a little different, which is why I went with Magnaflow. I still like the H-pipe sound though.
