I need an opinion on a good exhaust system, that gives you good preformance, but also a good sound without drone, i hate the drone ive heard in a lot of cars it would give me a headache after a while :bang: , any help appreciated

x's are really raspy. i love em, they sound evil, and flow better than an H.

if you want El-Cheapo get magnaflow or flowmaster catbacks w/ a BBK mid pipe. if you want it LOUD, go with magnapacks and an offroad mid pipe, or american thunder classic 40s and an offroad mid pipe. if you want it PAINFULLY LOUD (like how i like it) go with SLP loudmouth's with an offroad pipe, or just weld in race mufflers, such as those dynomax bullets or flowmaster 10 series coupled with an offroad pipe. And yes, having and not having cat convereters makes a huge difference in sound.

I dont know if an x actually flows better then an H seeing as an h is straight through. There are so many different opinions on this. Pretty much an H sounds better IMO, its deeper not raspy. An x might give you slightly better gains, but its raspy and higher pitched then an H. I vote for magnapacks with an o/r h pipe (maybe a prochamber). You can switch back to the stock mid pipe in time for inspection. Dont waste your money on another catted pipe just because you need to pass inspection. IM me for clips (coman87).

I don't know how it works there but you can't delete a cat here in cali so you might have to switch out the mid-pipe every two years or maybe you know somebody that can hook you up on the smog...

I live right outside Chicago. i have a UPR offroad X pipe and Flowmasters...whole catback, and midpipe, and MIL eliminators was about $550. If your car is a 99+ you can pass emmissions without cats. They scan your computer for codes, but with the MIl eliminators you will not have any codes. I get nothing but compliments everywhere I go in Chicago about my exhaust.
