Hey guys
im looking for exhaust for my 04 Cobra. im looking to go all the way from the headers and use and off rode pipe. any suggestions on the loudest combo?? also all performance gains are pretty similar with the exhaust systems for this car right?? if not performance is most important!

If you want to go through with the hassle of adding headers, be my guest! Do you plan on installing them yourself? Good luck! That's a MAJOR undertaking on these cars and it won't give you but a couple of HP/TQ unless you're already running a highly modified engine combo with a KB or Whipple and pushing 15+ psi. Don't get me wrong here, Shorties/Mid-lengths/LT's will all provide some gains on this car, but at what price? The name-brand quality headers are expensive to begin with and then the cost to have them installed doesn't make headers a good "Bang-for-the-Buck" mod on these latest Cobra's. You're spending a lot of money for just a little added power. There are 03/04 Cobra's running around making 600+ HP/TQ and they are still using the stock cast iron exhaust logs.

If all you're looking for is loud, go with an off-road X or H pipe and either a Bassani or Borla Stinger cat-back. If you want really loud try a Magnaflow cat-back and substitute the Magnaflow mufflers with the weld-in Magnapaks. Very loud!
