i just put an offroad pipe on my car and didnt hook that big vaccum line back up that goes from the hpipe to where it meets the lines that connect to the smog pump. would this cause my car to feel like it is missing if not causing a miss when im at a steady speed cruising?

It shouldnt , its just blowing air into the atmosphere instead of into your cats.

If you not going to use it you may as well bipass the pump with a short belt and cap it off .
If you bypass the smog pump does that hurt any thing like preformance or gas mileage?

No it will not hurt anything . If anything it may help a little because it is one less accessory for the motor to turn . No significant gain or anything as the pump has little drag . And that being may actually help gas mileage .

Just make sure you when you remove tubing up to the metal hose coming from the back of the heads you cap it off , or you can remove the metal tubing , it is held into the back of each head by a small bolt . You will need to screw in two thermactor plugs if you remove the metal tubing .
