I'm dealing with a 1994 saleen s281 supercharged 5.0. This is a beautiful ride with an engine that made you know this car was a beast. The neighbor of the owner of this car, whom works at Ford, was being helpful and installing the gages for the supercharger boost, seeing as they didn't come out until 1996, which is why it didn't already have them. Needless to say that neighbor crossed the wires up where they are supposed to hookup to the iat and signal reference at the ecm. Ecm was sent out to a group in Illinois to be fixed, but they said it was perfect. So I then found out the neighbors mistake, having wired the two wires backwards. Fixed the problem and the car ran again for a short period. Now the idol is always around 1500 and it shuts down after about 2 minutes, unless youplay with the gas pedal when it tries to die, in which can get to Stat running with idol about 1000rpm. Only able to pull codes from it intermittently. Getting a 51 then a 14, it's either those two or a 10 or a 6, when Giving the 6 it stops whatever it was doing and exits the koeo abruptly. What is happening and how do I fix this wonderful machine?
