i've got a 97 explorer intake on my car. there's no threads at the driver's side back of the lower intake (for what i believe is a coolant line going to the EGR correct?). But it does have holes in the upper and lower for the EGR gasses.

so where can i relocate that coolant line from the EGR spacer? One goes to the coolant rail right? is there any way i can T it into another coolant line? i really would rather not tap that hole.

because i have the holes in the upper and lower for EGR gasses...that means i can keep my EGR. The only thing really causing a problem for me is the lack of threaded holes for the ACT and the coolant. ACT is an easy-to-find fix when i searched.

just bite the bullet and buy a 9/16" drill bit and a 3/8" NPT pipe tap and do it the right way.............and use the same stuff to drill/tap your ACT hole too............

thanks tmoss, but i dont have anything here for tapping the hole

would it be OK to get the car running with those coolant hoses blocked off and a plug inbetween the upper/lower? that would basically be an EGR delete if i'm reading right.

thats all this coolant is for right?

i'd just like to get the car back down to columbus where i could tap it.

sure, you can run it withoutr the cooling - don't even have to block off the EGR passage if you put the valve on it and don't hook up the vacuum - you'll get a check engine light due to the EGR not moving, but just clear it from memory after you get there.
