Does anyone know where to get spray on detailer for the outside of a mustang? Where the windows are, there's some grey spots on the black part surrounding the windows on both sides. It looks real old and grungy. Plus there's some yellow scratches on the rear bumper where the black trim is. I've tried looking on mustangs unlimited and jcwhitney.com.

I'm sure they sell something to detail these imperfections.

The window moldings can be cleaned with something called Back-to-Black made by Mother's. It works OK, but will not completely restore your moldings. As far as the yellow scratches, the rear bumpers as well as the moldings are yellow so most likely these are scratches that have removed the paint. In that case, you would have to repaint these pieces or touch them up. If by some chance they are transfer scratches, they may be able to be waxed out.

As stated above, Back to Black and products like it will work with limited success. They are a temporary fix at best. The yellow on the bumper is more than likely a gouge through the paint, so you're going to need to repaint those areas. The trim can also be removed and painted as well. A good semi-gloss black will match the rest of the trim well and can be used on both areas. Also, you can replace most of the trim at www.50resto.com at fairly reasonable prices. I bought my belt mouldings from them and they installed very easily and look great.
