95 carb conversion here. Looking for recommendations for alternative gravity fed , external mounted fuel pumps vs the traditional Holley Red or Blue. Primarily looking for something quieter but can still deliver a normal 6psi feed

That would be ideal. Is there a particular Aeromotive part # for a return style regulator ?

One of issues I'm hearing (but haven't experienced yet) is I'd likely have to replace the 5/16 feed & 1/4 return line with 3/8. At least according to Holley's tech support, supposedly to neck 50psi dwn to carb pressure.

I'd prefer to not to if I can help it

Think I may have found what your referencing. A dual-stage reg like a Aeromotive 13220?

  • Controls pump/line pressure from 8-16 PSI <- this part confuses me, I presume that's output pressure, but doesn't say what inlet pressure is
  • Controls carburetor pressure from 5-9 PSI

A regulator would make sense, as I'm keeping all my EFI stuff in case I sell the car. That way the future owner can decide to swap back if they chose.
