I have an 95 vert. My 255lph fuel pump just took a dive. After taking the gas tank out I'm thinking about using an external pump. Has anyone done this? which pump did you use? Any tips would be appreciated.

P.S. I'm using 30lb injectors, Aeromotive reg., stock lines.

Thanx

maybe you could be the first and let us know. all the good companies, walbro, holley, carter, accel should all sell external pumps. just make sure your getting one rated for fuel injection. ya know, 255lph at 40 psi.

im converting a 33 year old car to fuel injection so im also curios. will they not over heat without the fuel in the tank cooling it?

Well not only that, but the 95's fuel lines enter the tank from the top so Im not sure if the pumps are good for "sucking" the fuel or "pushing".

ya know i think mine actually comes in from the top too. it just siphons to the pump which as of now is all the way on the motor for me. dont most fuel cells do this also? i would have to look to make sure but i believe mine does.
