Factory two-piece drive shaft?

Hello everyone. I was wondering has anybody had any problems lauching on slicks with the factory two-piece drive shaft. If not or if so, what RPM were you lauching at? THANKS

no, i haven't had a problem. I got a set of slick and want to go to the track. but I want to make sure my factory driveshaft can handle the punishment of launching hard.

if you have only bolt ons, the stock DS should handle it.

It will be worth the time and money to put on some DS loops. Better safe than sorry.

The stock DS will be fine but you'd get better performance from an aluminum 1-piece.

+1 on the clutch - I made 5 passes on the stock clutch after installing my Whipple and it had had it.

I believe you will need Frt and Rear DS loops to run slicks with the OEM 2pc DS at most tracks. Atleast that's what the tech guys at Etown & Atco told me.

I bought the Frt and Rear BMR DS loops... then got a great deal from Tillman Speed on a Coast One Pcs Alum DS.. so I now only need the Frt one. If you're interested I have the rear one, brand new, up for sale for $50 less then BMR. Just PM me.
