Faded Windshield Trim

Well, I finally got tired of looking at the faded window trim, the 2 small pieces on each side of the cowl vent. I picked up some Duplicolor flat black spray, masked it all off around it, and sprayed it. I think it turned out very nice and sooooo much cheaper than buying new pieces. The trim around the windshield is freaking expensive by the time u add each piece up.
The first picture is one of the trim piece after it is masked and sanded.
The second picture is after the trim piece has been sprayed and all the masking removed.Pictures don't really show all the detail, but lets just say it looks a lot better thatn before. The only problem I had was the spray can stayed on after I released the button and wouldn't shut off till I hit it on the garage floor. It was ok after that.

that looks realy good i need to do that to my stang but i need to pull all the trim around the windshild and paint.

I'd like to do the cowl vent and wipers but can't get the wipers off?

Wipers....very easy to get them off. Raise the wiper arm all the way up away from the windshield and with the other hand slide the clip away from the knob that the arm is mounted to the car on. Here is a pic of the clip before sliding it away from the know, It is the circular loop part.

And here is one with the wiper arm raised and the clip slid away from the knob. In this position, the arm can be raised off the knob. Do not mess with the clip again untill ur ready to put it back on the car. Installation is just the reverse. Put it back on the knob, raise wiper arm up, slide clip back toward knob. You may have to check alignment for the blade and reposition, but its no big deal, I have had mine off lots repainting the arm and stuff.
