mines doing this too, its like a half assed bing. ive been meaning to find it, and maybe grab one from the junkyard or something. and check the ground.
I think the chime box is under the dash on driver side close to the center console kinda behind the radio area its a white or black box You should be able to find it if it makes noise still........ You can put key in with door open and when it chimes you can find it and unplug it. It has several wires that go to it. I dont think it hurts anything unplugging it. I unplugged on on my ranger because it would just randomly chime at any time it felt like it LOL
