So, I have a 2011 v6 mustang that I want to lower. I bought all the parts and went to a speed shop in my area to get a quote on labor. The quote I got was for $1000. The parts are as follows: shocks, struts, new strut mounts, springs, bump stops, adjustable pan hard bar, camber bolts, steeda bumpsteer kit, steeds ball joint kit, front and rear stay bars, and strut tower brace. So my question is whether $1000 is a fair price. That does not count alignment.

So lowering, or lowering AND upgrading the entire suspension? You don't need all that just to lower it a bit.

What do you suggest and still keep good handling?

'If' your Mustang has the base model 17 inch wheels you will need the Steeda bumpsteer kit. 'If' your Mustang came with 18 inch wheels, you won't need it. If you have already bought all these parts, $1,000 for labor might be a fair price. I didn't even have to buy an adjustable pan hard bar when I lowered mine 1 inch in front and 1 1/4 inch in the rear. I sawed off an inch on the factory bump stops and that took care of that, for free

Thanks. I have 20" wheels and planning to drop 1.1" in the front and 1.7 in the rear with eibach sportlines. If bump steer won't be a problem then I won't need the kit or ball joint kit?

I'm lowered 1.5" and never did any camber bolts or any of that stuff. I do have shocks, struts, strut mounts and adjustable panhard, and cut down the factory bump stops. I've also had multiple people tell me a strut tower brace really isn't necessary on an S197, I dunno.
